For Potential Therapy Clients

  • How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?

    • The therapeutic relationship is key to success. I encourage you to book a free 15-minute consultation call so we can discuss your needs and see if we're a good fit.

  • How do I schedule an initial appointment?

    • You can schedule directly through my email at sarwhe@gmail.com or complete the form on my site.

  • What can I expect in the first session?

    • The first session is about us getting to know each other. We'll discuss what brought you in, your history, and begin to outline your goals for therapy. It's a collaborative process, and you are in the driver's seat.

  • Do you offer in-person or online therapy?

    • Currently I only offer secure, confidential telehealth sessions for residents of Oregon, giving you flexibility and access to care from the comfort of your home.

  • How long are sessions, and how often will we meet?

    • Sessions are typically 55 minutes. Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum, and we can adjust the frequency as you progress.

  • What are your fees? Do you offer a sliding scale?

    • My fee for an individual therapy session is private pay is $150. I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for those with financial need, which we can discuss during your consultation.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    • I require 24 hours notice for cancellation to avoid being charged the full session fee. This allows me to offer that time to someone on my waitlist.

  1. Therapy Process

    • What is your approach to therapy?

      • I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, IFS and Person-Centered Therapy (to name a few), which is evidence-based and helps clients change unhelpful thought patterns, process trauma, gain self-awareness and increase self-compassion. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs.

    • How long will I be in therapy?

      • The duration of therapy is unique to each person and depends on your goals, the complexity of your concerns, and your engagement in the process. We will regularly check in on your progress.

    • Is everything I say confidential?

      • Yes, with a few specific legal exceptions (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, suspected child/elder abuse) which I will review with you in our first session. Your privacy is of the utmost importance.

        For Potential Supervisees (Licensure Candidates)

      Your Credentials & Approach

    • What are your credentials and experience as a supervisor?

      • I am a LCSW and LPC-Approved Supervisor. I have been providing supervision for 8 years and have helped multiple associates achieve full licensure. My clinical background is in CBT, Strengths based approach, person centered, EMDR, and ISF but use many more modalities to meet clients needs. I have worked in nursing homes, hospice care and medical social work prior to mental health therapy.

    • What is your supervision style or philosophy?

      • My supervision style is very collaborative in a supportive and non-judgmental space. I see my role as a mentor and guide, creating a safe space for you to grow your clinical skills, develop your professional identity, and navigate the challenges of this stage in your career."

    • Do you offer individual, group, or both types of supervision?

      • Currently I am just offering group supervision. Many associates find the group supervision style is helpful and comforting for peer support and diverse perspectives.

  2. Logistics & Requirements

    • How do I know if you are the right supervisor for me?

      • It's crucial we're a good fit! I offer a free 20-minute 'meet-and-greet' call to discuss your goals, my approach, and answer any questions you have.

    • What are your fees for supervision?

      • Group supervision is $75/session.

    • How often do we meet, and what is the format?

      • We will meet bi-monthly for 60 minutes via a secure telehealth platform. Our time will be structured to review cases, discuss ethics, and work towards your professional development goals.

    • Do you help with licensure paperwork and preparation for the exam?

      • Absolutely. I provide direct guidance and support in completing all required board paperwork and am happy to provide mock oral exams or discuss test-taking strategies to help you feel confident and prepared."
